ReferWell supports several integration options:
Direct Secure Messaging
The Direct Secure Messaging Protocol is a standard integration protocol embraced by nearly all modern EMRs. It allows for flexible referral workflows and is the fastest, easiest and most cost effective integration option.
HL7 Interface
An HL7 interface can be used to create a direct integration between ReferWell and a specific portion or workflow within a provider’s EMR.
FHIR Interface
FHIR is a more recent standard that expands the HL7 interface’s capability. FHIR provides a great deal of flexibility and facilitates more seamless interoperability.
Custom APIs
ReferWell interfaces to client-specific APIs. We use a Mirth engine and can facilitate whatever transaction types a client’s system requires or can accommodate.
